Overview
Set in rural Tamil Nadu during the early 1990s, *Dorothy* follows two childhood friends whose lives are shaped by caste divisions, social prejudice and the pressures of a deeply patriarchal society. Their bond takes an unexpected turn when Dorothy enters their lives, challenging the beliefs and attitudes they have grown up with. As their paths diverge, unresolved conflicts and difficult choices test their friendship, bringing questions of compassion, identity and human dignity to the forefront.<span data-mce-type=”bookmark” style=”display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;” class=”mce_SELRES_start”></span>
